Anna Pearlman is the founder and Music Director of North Star Baroque.  Raised in the greater Boston area, she was immersed in Baroque music from an early age.  She performs in concert halls and musical theater throughout New England on both modern and Baroque violin, as well as on modern viola.  Her teachers have included Janet Packer, Ronald Lantz of the Portland String Quartet, Dr. Robert Lehmann, Sarah Darling, Jane Starkman, and her father Martin Pearlman, Director of Boston Baroque.  She resides in Gorham, Maine.

Martin Pearlman was the founder of Boston Baroque, this country's oldest period-instrument orchestra and was the conductor of that ensemble and its chorus for 52 years.  He has won five Grammy nominations for his recordings.  In other work, he is a composer, has conducted orchestras throughout North America, and was professor of music at Boston University.  He is currently a resident of Gorham, Maine.

Jennifer Ritvo Hughes is an arts executive, consultant and educator recognized by Forbes as a "leading cultural innovator," known for guiding cultural institutions through strategic pivots. As a consultant, she advises organizations including the New England Foundation for the Arts, Opera Philadelphia and the Royal Conservatory of Music. Previously, she was CEO of American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and Executive Director of Boston Baroque and Cantata Singers. A Boston University lecturer in arts management, she serves as board treasurer of Boston Lyric Opera (MA) and Surf Point Foundation (ME) in addition to board service for North Star Baroque.

Lenny Smith is a Portland native and a lifelong member of the local arts community, playing in a variety of bands, most notably, Big Meat Hammer, Maine’s longest continuously active punk band. Lenny also championed esoteric and exotic cinema at Videoport and as a film critic for Casco Bay Weekly and MovieMaker Magazine. For the last 22 years, Lenny has also worked in substance abuse treatment, and is a founding partner in Pine Tree Recovery Center. A lover of many musical genres, Lenny considers it an honor to serve on the board of North Star Baroque.

Jeannette Haltof Monceret has built her career in finance and client operations at leading international law firms in Boston and New York. She brings that experience, along with a strong business perspective, to the North Star Baroque board. A lifelong lover of music and the arts, Jeannette is passionate about supporting Maine’s vibrant arts community and bringing exceptional live music to audiences throughout the state. A Maine native, she now makes her home in the historic coastal town of Bath.

George Pearlman is a well known ceramic artist who has run his pottery in Saint George,  Maine for 30 years. He has been creating his work for 45 years. His one of a kind ceramic pieces have been shown throughout Maine, the USA, and several other countries. He is an artist fellow recognized by the Maine Arts Commission and has his work in the permanent collection at the Bates College Art Museum. He has shown his work at the Smithsonian,  Philadelphia Museum of Art, and many other significant venues as well as being an invited speaker at many academic and community art gatherings. 

Mimi Munson lives in Portland and is a writer and historian who, for over 20 years, has worked as a researcher and consultant for many Hollywood films, documentaries and TV shows.  Among them are Master and Commander, Bonny and Clyde, The Post, and The Queen's Gambit.  She has been active with the Maine Historical Society, as well as being on the boards of other non-profits in Maine.
